As a welcome into the home of the character who lives here, an optimistic-colored shelf houses on its top a life violet-colored notebook held by three living beings with the definition of the term common according to the RAE inside a spiral, as an anticipation to the humanistic and collectivist nature of everything that will be in this journey, reflections of our stories and experiences, regardless of our cultural and/or geographical origins. Hello everyone, here is another example of what we will be working during the workshop I will lead this Saturday 7th at the LCC from 12-2pm. his work is entitled REMEMBERING YOU (Thinking and breathing united), a work in which I make a humble tribute to the woman who gave me life, my mother, who passed away 4 months ago, where I dress her in violet life, the product of my blue memories and my magenta heartbeats, surrounded by only what I can give her now, prayers for her rest, represented by the lit candles. As you can see, the treatment of the puzzle is organic, unlike the previous one I showed you. So I invite you to sign up and participate in this workshop, we will have fun, share memories and build stories together! Thank you all for stopping by last Saturday for the opening reception, I am so grateful for your words and feedback, this project meant a lot to me so I am beyond happy to shared it with you and thankful for the support from @latinoculturalcenter and @dallasculture ♥️ - The exhibition is OPEN until Oct 11th so plan your visit to the LLC! - Shared Stories is an exhibition that explores life and a common journey of change, growth and search for happiness through migration. The Hispanic heritage of the artist, his own personal story as well as the one from others, influence the narrative around stages of our life, leaving that space we have always known to explore and search for a life in a new one where we take on a battle with ourselves, culture, work, memories and new discoveries to find our place, our joy and a common ground to share and feel like home.
